AC Hipot 211 has been specifically designed to
conduct H.V. WITHSTAND / BREAKDOWN TESTING AND DIELECTRIC STRENGTH
TESTING OF INSULATING OILS.

to provide high voltage proof testing and or breakdown, acceptance,
maintance testing on equipments like rotating machinery, cables,
switchgear, insulators, transformers, capacitors etc.
DI-ELECTRIC STRENGTH TESTING OF INSULATING
OILS.
Dielectric strength of an insulating oil is a measure
of its ability to withstand electric stress without failure. Low
dielectric values indicate the presence of water, dirt, or conducting
particles in insulating oils.
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
All the controls and indicators are located on
attractive panel with clear easy to read legends.
METERS: Analogue meters for output voltage and
leakage current KV Meter indicates even after insulation breaks
down. LAMPS: MAINS ON: H.T.OFF: H.T. ON. H.V. CONTROLLER:
Continuously variable H.V. output.
SAFETY:
The high voltage controller is interlocked at zero position. The
transparent test chamber cover is also interlocked such that opening
off the test chamber shuts of the high voltage.
ELECTRODES:
Specially designed holders from a cradle to receive
oil test cup during di-electric strength testing of insulating oils.
For di-electric strength testing electrodes provided are 36mm dia
mushroom electrodes to IEC 156, I.S.6792 fig.2. VDE 370 and ASTM-1816.
As documented in ASTM-1816 these electrodes are more sensitive to
contaminates and also give higher evaluation of the di-electric
strength of uncontaminated oils.
OIL TEST CUP:
The oil test cup is made of plastic and have removable
cover. Electrodes are also removable for ease of cleaning and polishing.
The unique design of the electrode holders eliminate oil leaks around
the electrode shaft.
CABINET: Steel cabinet with carrying
handles with durable powder coat paint.
ACCESSORIES: Mains cord, Oil test cup with electrodes,
Gap Gauge, Instruction Manual.
